First character models

Here are a couple of characters I modeled using someone else's character layout drawings and bringing them to 3D life. I used ZBrush, Maya 2018, PhotoShop. This is 3-4 weeks worth of learning and modeling to create these two guys who are ready to take on the west and to fight in a raid in World of Warcraft. Enjoy.

For Solder's character I used Photoshop to identify all major secondary forms (shapes, silhouettes, items, etc) using contour lines.

Front view of the character Solder with the sword and shield that I modeled for him to take into battle. I had to do this character because I could see him as a character in World of Warcraft.

Normal map for the low polly head for Solder. I put this in PhotoShop and cleaned up the artifacts and cleaned up the seam lines for a smooth connection of the seams.

Here is a shield to protect my warrior with metal frame, wood core, bone outlining and chains to add the fear to the enemies. I want to work on this more and add more layers so it isn't soft looking in the middle. For the HORDE!!!

The Ashbringer Sword was modeled completely in ZBrush. I took on this challenge to see if I could make my favorite sword from World of Warcraft without having to use Maya. Challenge accepted! :)
